6つのリンゴ【就職活動中・転職希望の方向け】‏

最近思うのは中国人は日本人よりも集団生活に慣れているということです。

中国では男女問わず学部時代からほとんどが寮生活。そして、６～８人が一部屋に住むのです。プライベートのはず時間でもルームメートと常に接して過ごすわけです。週末になると実家がある程度近い学生らは家に帰ります。このような環境で学生らがともに４年間過ごすと、お互いに兄弟のような強い感情が芽生えます。

それで、最近こんな話を聞きました。ある起業家が学部時代のことを話していました。彼のルームメートにA君という学生がいました。家庭は比較的裕福で、毎週月曜日にリンゴを６つ寮に持ってきていました。ルームメイトら５人はシェアして１人１個食べれるのだとと思いました。ところが、A君は自分で毎日１個食べました。リンゴは確かにA君の所有物なので、取り上げることはできません。しかし、他のルームメイトにはA君は自己中心だというイメージが残りました。そして、月日が経ち自分は起業して成功を収めました。A君はまだ事業に成功しておらず、自分の会社に参入しようと思いました。この人は当時のルームメイトらと相談した結果、受け入れないことにしました。理由はA君は学部時代から分かち合う精神に欠けていたからです。

結論は何かと言いますと、学部時代では友人に自分の持っているものを分かち合うことは非常に重要だということです。恋愛経験でもいいし、自分の考え方でもいい、少しばかりの貯金でもいい、例え１つのリンゴであったとしても６つに切って分け合うことが出来ます。このようにすることで、将来はもしかすると更に多くのものが得られるのかもしれません。別に分け合ってお返しを期待すべきと言いたいわけではないのですが、分かち合ったものは友情や人間関係をより強めてくれるのかもしれません。無駄になることはないのです。昨今、会社の採用条件の一つにコミュニケーション能力が取り上げられたりしています。何かを分かち合うということは人との結びつきを強めたり、コミュニケーションの促進や円滑化につながるのではないでしょうか。
